Studio Atomic devised the lighting concept for the Marc Phillips Decorative Rugs showroom located in New York's iconic Decoration and Design Building. Uli Wagner Design Lab was responsible for creating a dramatic and theatrical space with a minimalist design, featuring clean lines, a high-contrast neutral palette, and broad-planked wooden flooring and ceiling.

To enhance the dark-stained wooden accents, rough textures, and rugs, Studio Atomic employed strategic lighting throughout the showroom, creating a chiaroscuro effect and emphasizing the unique architectural features of the display areas, resulting in an immersive atmosphere with depth and harmony that invites visitors to explore.
