Multi-Residential
Brooklyn, NY

This multi-residential tower in Brooklyn is designed to offer a refined living experience, where lighting plays a key role in shaping the atmosphere. Inspired by a retro aesthetic, the approach focuses on creating soft, ambient glows that enhance the architecture without overpowering it. Discretion is at the core of the design—light is seamlessly integrated into the space, elevating both function and mood with a timeless warmth.
Throughout the building, indirect lighting defines key moments, casting a gentle radiance that highlights textures and architectural details. Wall grazers and cove lighting introduce a soft diffusion, avoiding harsh contrasts while reinforcing the sense of comfort and elegance. Thoughtfully placed decorative fixtures echo mid-century influences, adding a nostalgic touch while maintaining a contemporary sensibility.
In communal areas, the lighting transitions effortlessly from day to night, supporting different rhythms of use. Linear fixtures are subtly recessed within ceilings and millwork, offering a quiet presence that enhances depth and spatial flow. Corridors and entryways feature warm-toned glows that provide a sense of arrival, balancing visual interest with understated sophistication.
The result is an environment where light is felt more than seen—a carefully orchestrated balance between nostalgia and modernity, offering residents a space that is both familiar and forward-thinking.
