Key Biscayne
Private Residence
Residential
Miami, FL
Located by the water in Key Biscayne, the villa frames uninterrupted views through a series of apertures that extend the interior toward the surrounding terraces. The architecture is defined by fluid, continuous lines and soft transitions between spaces, qualities that guided the lighting approach throughout the project.
The lighting design is integrated within the architectural surfaces to preserve the purity of the interior geometry while revealing its depth and texture. Accent lighting defines the curvature of the furniture and the interior skin, enhancing the perception of space and movement as daylight shifts across the day.
A warm palette of diffusers was selected for the decorative pendants, contributing to a sense of balance between natural and artificial light. The Tekio lamp, used in various locations and scales, establishes a visual rhythm throughout the home, adapting to the proportions of each living and dining area while maintaining a cohesive material and atmospheric identity. The result is a layered composition of light that reinforces the architecture’s softness and its constant dialogue with the surrounding sea and sky.
